On 14 February 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT)
and Electric Power University (EPU) have organized a seminar on "Career orientation
and business - school connections". This is one of the activities under
the framework of the MoIT’s AIG project in order to connect between businesses and
schools in training and labor supply, supporting students to meet the requirements of potential employers upon graduation.
Attending the seminar there were representatives from Hankuk
University, Konkuk University (Korea), Human Resource Development Department (MoIT),
Sao Do University, Nam Dinh College of Industry, Vinh Phuc College of Foods Industry.
There were also delegates from foreign and local businesses such as Samsung
Vietnam, Pha Lai Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, etc.

Various suggestions were proposed, shared and open for discussion
from foreign and local representatives and it is recommended that appropriate training
curricula should be applied to balance between theoretical and practical knowledge.
Furthermore, positive attitude and learning spirit are essential skills that
students definitely need to equip before entering the job market.
Truong Huy Hoang has then concluded the seminar with sincere thanks to the MoIT,
foreign experts and local university representatives for their comments to
improve the training curricula, and at the same time appreciated the
practicalities of this project towards EPU in particular and other local universities
